Meet the Team
Jasmeet Flora-Drage
Speech Pathologist | Founder of Galah Speech PathologyJasmeet Flora-Drage is the founder and speech pathologist behind Galah Speech Pathology.
Jasmeet has worked in the disability, health and community sector for over 14 years, beginning in support work and Allied Health Assistant roles before becoming a speech pathologist. This background continues to shape the way she works today, with a strong focus on practical strategies, real-life routines and building the capacity of the people around a person.
As a clinician working in regional Western Australia, Jasmeet has developed broad generalist skills across communication, speech, language, literacy, AAC, feeding and swallowing. She has a particular interest in visual communication, AAC, collaborative practice. She is also deeply committed to training, regional and remote access and helping families and teams feel more confident in everyday environments.
Jasmeet is a lifelong learner who values curiosity, reflection and evidence-informed practice. She regularly seeks professional support, training and supervision to ensure her work remains thoughtful, current and grounded in best practice. In the future, she hopes to continue further study in mental health and contribute to research and advocacy around regional access and supports.
As an Australian Sikh woman, a woman of colour, a mother and a regional clinician, Jasmeet brings both professional and lived experience to her work. Her practice is shaped by a deep respect for culture, identity, access, advocacy, belonging and the privilege of being invited into people’s homes, families and communities.
Outside of work, Jasmeet is a wife and mum to two fierce daughters. She loves travel, community, connection, singing, learning and a cup of cha— even if she usually ends up drinking it cold.
Nikita Noordijk
Allied Health Assistant Nikita has been part of the Galah Speech Pathology team for over two years and is a local Geraldton country girl.
As an Allied Health Assistant, Nikita believes every person deserves to feel heard, valued and supported in a way that recognises their individual strengths, interests and goals. She values building genuine relationships with participants and their families, taking the time to understand what is important to them and celebrating every achievement along the way.
Nikita has a strong passion for supporting children who are at risk, have limited spoken communication, or need additional support to communicate in everyday life. She brings warmth, consistency, creativity and a positive attitude to her sessions, helping make learning meaningful, engaging and fun.
She loves that therapy is not limited to a clinic and enjoys working across a variety of environments, including homes, schools, outdoor spaces and the wider community. Nikita also has a special interest in outreach work and supporting families in regional communities, where practical strategies that can be used in everyday routines are so important.
Outside of work, Nikita enjoys spending time with her friends and family, camping, exploring and making the most of life outdoors. She is also known for making the most of her Thermomix and loves creating delicious goodies at home.
